Our mission as the Old Town Newhall Association (OTNA) is to foster a thriving, vibrant, and welcoming community in Old Town Newhall by supporting local businesses, promoting cultural heritage, and enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors. We are dedicated to preserving the unique character of our historic downtown, encouraging economic growth through collaboration and innovation, and cultivating a strong sense of community pride and engagement. Through advocacy, partnerships, and community-driven initiatives, OTNA strives to be a catalyst for positive change and sustainable development in Old Town Newhall.

Chairperson
Robert is the current Chairperson of the Old Town Newhall Association (nonprofit aka OTNA) which works to restore, enhance and maintain historic Downtown Newhall as a social, cultural, and economic center for the Santa Clarita Valley. Robert also heads OTNA’s Real Estate Subcommittee.
Nilton Rodrigues
Vice Chairperson
Born in Brazil, he moved to the United States in 1982 to attend Marylhurst University in Oregon and settled in Santa Clarita 25 years ago. A State Farm Agent in Old Town Newhall since 2015, with 30 years of experience in the financial industry, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and riding his bicycle around Santa Clarita.

Joelle Danahy
Corresponding Secretary
Joelle Danahy brings over 30 years of experience in non-profit volunteer management. Her diverse background includes advocacy for the elderly homeless, volunteer recruitment, and support for school parent organizations. She founded and now works for Joelle Danahy, Non-Profit Management, consults with over 30 area booster clubs, and has over 20 non-profit clients. She is an officer on other non-profit boards, and her work leads her to assist local theater organizations and international women’s groups.

Nicki Voss
Recording Secretary
Nicki Voss is a Los Angeles-based contemporary visual and textile artist, owner of Textilepop, a women-owned business specializing in textile works and art quilts inspired by landscapes and geometry. She teaches fiber arts for the City of LA and Santa Clarita, holds a BFA and MFA from California Institute of the Arts, and has received multiple grants supporting her creative entrepreneurship.
